Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using YardLink.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using YardLink, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our platform.
You must be at least 18 years old to use YardLink. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If you are using YardLink on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. User Accounts
YardLink supports three account types: Homeowner, Business, and Property Manager. Each account type has access to features appropriate to their role on the platform.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date. Notify us immediately at support@yardlink.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Business Listings and Accuracy
Businesses are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including services offered, pricing, licensing status, insurance coverage, and any other claims made on their profile. YardLink does not independently verify all claims made by businesses, though we reserve the right to do so.
Misrepresentation of credentials, licensing, insurance, or services may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform, without refund of any fees paid.
4. Quote and Service Process
Homeowners may submit quote requests through the YardLink platform. Businesses review those requests and respond with pricing and availability. When a homeowner accepts a quote, that acceptance constitutes a direct agreement between the homeowner and the business — YardLink is not a party to that agreement.
YardLink operates as a marketplace and technology platform only. We are not a lawn care or landscaping service provider and do not employ the businesses or individuals who perform services booked through our platform.
5. Payment Terms
Upon accepting a quote, homeowners are required to save a valid payment method on file. Payment is automatically charged upon job completion and approval. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
YardLink charges a marketplace service fee on completed transactions. This fee covers access to the YardLink platform, payment processing infrastructure, lead generation, and marketplace hosting. The fee is deducted from the business payout at the time of payment. By using the platform, businesses agree to this fee structure.
6. Subscription Plans
Businesses may subscribe to the Pro plan ($29.99/mo) to access enhanced features, including increased lead visibility, priority search placement, and access to the commercial bid portal. Subscription plans are billed on a monthly basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months or unused portions of a billing cycle.
8. HOA and Commercial Contracts
The YardLink commercial bid portal allows property managers to post landscaping and lawn care contracts, and qualified businesses to submit bids. This portal is designed for HOA communities, commercial properties, and multi-unit residential accounts.
When a bid is accepted by a property manager, a 2% closing fee based on the total annual contract value is charged to the winning business before the contract is finalized. This fee must be paid before the business is connected with the property manager to begin services.
9. Dispute Resolution
Homeowners may open a dispute within 48 hours of a completed job that has been marked complete and charged. Disputes submitted after this window may not be eligible for review.
All disputes are reviewed by YardLink staff. YardLink reserves the right to issue full or partial refunds at its sole discretion based on the evidence provided by both parties. YardLink's decision on platform disputes is final.
For matters not resolved through the platform's dispute process, these terms and any disputes arising from use of YardLink are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
10. Cancellations and Refunds
Homeowners may cancel a quote request at any time before a business responds without penalty. Once a quote has been accepted and a payment method has been saved, cancellation is subject to the individual business's cancellation policy.
YardLink's marketplace service fee (5% of each completed job) is non-refundable in all cases except where a refund is issued through YardLink's formal dispute resolution process.
11. Limitation of Liability
YardLink is a technology platform that connects homeowners and property managers with independent lawn care and landscaping businesses. YardLink does not employ those businesses, supervise their work, or guarantee the quality, safety, or completion of any services performed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YardLink's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the total fees you have paid to YardLink in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
12. Intellectual Property
All platform content, design, logos, branding, and software are the property of YardLink and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform content without written permission.
Content you submit to the platform — including photos, reviews, business information, and other materials — remains your property. By submitting content, you grant YardLink a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and use that content on the platform and in marketing related to YardLink.
13. Account Termination
YardLink reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or engages in behavior that is harmful to other users or the integrity of the platform. Termination may occur without prior notice in serious cases.
Users may delete their own account at any time from their dashboard settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings arising from or relating to these terms or your use of YardLink shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Duval County, Florida.
